Could you be a Possability People Trustee?
We are currently looking to strengthen our Trustee Board.
Possability People is a Sussex charity which supports disabled people to live independently. We believe that anything is possible, regardless of ability.
We deliver a range of projects and services which advise and support disabled people and people with long term health conditions on money, debt, welfare and allowances, employment, pain management, involvement and volunteering. We even have our own, CQC registered care agency.
Having grown into such a diverse organisation, we want to bring some specific skills to our board. We are looking for people who know about finance, the digital world, marketing and HR. We are also really keen to hear from people based in East and West Sussex, as well as Brighton and Hove, since we have services across the county.
As a user led organisation, our board is mainly made up of disabled people although we do have room for you if you aren’t. Our board meets every six weeks and trustees can attend meetings online if it helps.
We understand that being a trustee is a big ask. So before you make up your mind either way, we have organised a short evening do, where you can come and meet us, and find out more.
So if you are curious, come along to Possability Place on Tuesday 2 October, at 6.30/7pm until 8.30pm. We will provide drinks and nibbles. Please let us know if you’ll be coming along by emailing emily@possabilitypeople.org.uk
