What is the Brighton Legal Walk?
The Brighton Legal Walk is a 10 km sponsored walk along the beautiful seafront, taking place on Wednesday 10 September. It’s organised by the London Legal Support Trust to raise vital funds for local charities and organisations providing free legal advice and support in Brighton and beyond.
Every year, local organisations like Possability People take part to keep essential advice services running — genuinely changing people’s lives for the better.

Why we’re walking
Possability People’s Advice Centre offers free, confidential, and impartial advice to disabled people across Brighton, Hove, mid-Sussex and East Sussex.
Our focus is on benefits and disability rights:
- Helping people understand what they’re entitled to (PIP, Universal Credit, ESA, AA and more)
- Supporting with complex forms and assessments
- Guiding and representing people through appeals when they’ve been unfairly refused
With demand for advice higher than ever, your support means we can help even more people feel informed, confident, and in control.

Why your donation matters
Our goal is to raise £1,000, and every donation helps us support more people when they need it most.
Donation | How it helps |
£30 | Helps someone understand their rights during an advice session |
£50 | Supports someone to challenge an unfair benefit decision |
£90 | Provides tailored support to complete a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) application |
£150 Appeal benefits decision up to a tribunal hearing
Every pound you give brings us closer to a future where disabled people have voice, choice, and control over their lives.

What does the Advice Centre do?
The Advice Centre offers free, confidential, and impartial advice to disabled people across Brighton, Hove, mid-Sussex and East Sussex. Our skilled team helps people understand their rights, secure the benefits they’re entitled to, and navigate complicated forms and appeals processes.
But it doesn’t stop there. We support people to explore grants and funding for specialist equipment or home adaptations, help with Blue Badge and bus pass applications, advise on accessible holidays and leisure activities, and signpost to other useful local services. We also provide light-touch advice to help people stay in work and offer specialist support for people with conditions such as multiple sclerosis.
Whatever someone needs, we make sure they feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.

How to support us
We’re taking on the Brighton Legal Walk to raise funds and we need your support to reach our goal.
Please sponsor our team today to help us reach even more people with life-changing advice.
You can also help by sharing this campaign with friends, family, and networks, so more people hear about the difference your support can make.
