Money to help disabled and older people at home
Grants are available for disabled and older people to make changes to their homes, tackle fuel poverty and help after leaving hospital.
Brighton & Hove City Council have a budget this year to offer a wider range of help to older and disabled people focused around reducing the risk of falls and injury in the home, tackling fuel poverty and assisting hospital discharge. Good news is the assistance is in the form of a non-repayable grant, with a simple application process. The local Home Improvement Agency ( Mears Home Improvement Services) will be delivering or coordinating the range of services being provided.
