We are not recommending particular courses of action but pulling together the information we are receiving which we think might be helpful.

Information for new Universal Credit claims
Once you have made your online claim for Universal Credit, please monitor your journal regularly for updates and notifications
The DWP will call you about 7 days after your online claim submission, and this will be from an unlisted number. Unanswered calls may lead to a delay in your benefits being paid.

Universal Credit Help to Claim service from Citizens Advice (CA)
Although face to face services have been suspended telephone and online support is still available. Help to Claim is intended to support Universal Credit Claimants who may have difficulties accessing services complete applications and receive accurate and on-time payments. Call 0800 144 8 444
