Statement re ending of all Covid-19 measures
The Government is soon ending all Covid related prevention measures.
While we would like to see a return to a life more like it was before the pandemic, we know that lots of us will still be concerned about the possible effects of catching Covid. We understand that disabled people, people with underlying health conditions and other vulnerable people might want to remain cautious.
Possability People will continue to deliver its projects and services in different ways, using technology so that people who don’t yet feel comfortable in different places can still access them.
We will continue our Covid safe practices for any face to face meetings, such as properly ventilating rooms and ensuring people have enough space around them for air circulation.
Throughout the pandemic, many different protocols and practices have been adopted to keep service users, volunteers and staff as safe as possible. We are currently working out what will change, and when, and will update you as soon as we can.
For lots of people who are anxious about going out, our Safe Together meet ups offer an opportunity to practice going out safely together. Upcoming events are on our website at https://www.possabilitypeople.org.uk/events/safe-together-meet-up/
On a different note, if you feel strongly that some measures should be kept in place to protect vulnerable people, there is an online petition here which you might want to sign and share.
